Overview



Working closely with the Associate General Counsel and other members of the legal department as requested, the Associate Counsel provides legal advice, guidance and support to all business units of the North American business in general corporate matters.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Contract drafting, review and negotiation

  • M&A and other strategic transactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience at a firm or company advising on general corporate and business matters
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New York
  • Strong contract drafting, negotiating and issue-spotting skills
  • Hardworking, highly accurate and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and seek increasing responsibilities
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and engage with multiple stakeholders in a challenging and fast pace environment
  • Ability to make timely, nuanced recommendations for business decisions based on reasoned legal analysis and the strategic objectives of the company
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and collaborative attitude a must
  • Public company experience is a plus
