Overview



The Sr. Brand Manager provides in-depth guidance and support in the business development of multiple marketing efforts for the Company's largest brands within an assigned category. This includes initiatives associated with growing current brand recognition inclusive of consumption analyses and promotion/advertising strategy assistance. Additionally, the incumbent manages new product commercialization processes including aiding in customer market research and establish pricing and positioning. Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



New and Current Product Development

  • Presents financially sound new product pipeline and promotional on-trend opportunity recommendations to Sr. Management,.
  • Oversees review of quantitative analyses and high-margin forecasts.
  • Collaborates with Sales, Operations and Finance to develop cost structure to meet brand margin.
  • Partners with R&D, Packaging design and Ops on production scheduling

Plan Management

  • Manages the timely execution of highly creative and cost efficient campaigns Brand Plans
  • Provides oversight on external agencies (PR, Digital, and Consumer Promotions) to ensure adherence to established timelines

Business & Marketing Analysis

  • Manages marketing budget for assigned brand.
  • Identifies key competitive and category trends
  • Track & reports on current business performance using internal and reported quantitative data.

Marketing & Customer Presentation

  • Develops, executes and presents sales materials and marketing presentations to internal sales teams & key customers in support of sales channel activities.
  • Acts as Company representative for assigned Sales and Retailer brand meetings.

Provides backup assistance to other members of the marketing team, as directed.



Assists with other projects, as needed.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum seven years' experience in a consumer packaged goods marketing, marketing analytics or project management role or related capacity

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, MBA preferred or equivalent
  • Expert understanding of assigned market inclusive of trends, customers, competition, etc.
  • Experience with AC Nielsen or IRI preferred
  • Experience analyzing data & translating to recommendations
  • Ability to monitor budgets and report on P/L activity associated with assigned marketing initiatives
  • Excellent creative instincts and comfort with visual design
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills
  • Previous demonstration of managing marketing mix including shopper marketing, social, print & television media
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
  • Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
  • Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Preferred knowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry.
