Under minimal to no supervision, the Sr. Accountant applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in preparing complex financial reports and various analyses to be used for management review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees timely submission of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned areas.
  • Leads creation of supplemental schedules for all SEC filings.
  • Manages payments, reporting and review of Sales team Broker commission accounts.
  • Interprets and summarizes monthly profit data to justify income statement fluctuations.
  • Prepares documentation for sales and use tax reporting, property tax audits, and additional tax reporting.
  • Manages data collection for external financial audits.
  • Reviews wire payment requests and ensures proper documentation submission.
  • Assist Accounting Manager with reviewing work quality of the manufacturing facility accountants/ staff accountants.
  • Assists with special projects, as needed.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in both Public and Private settings
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
  • Comfortable handling large data sets required to perform detailed analyses.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivots, v-look-ups, macros, etc.
  • Report writing and GL System maintenance skills a plus
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience a plus
  • Flexibility
